SQL Server
This is our home ground. Deep internals knowledge built over decades, with hands-on experience of SQL Server at petabyte scale in some of the most demanding environments in financial services.
We don't just write queries. We understand how the storage engine works, how the optimiser makes decisions, and how changes to one part of an estate ripple across the rest. Our expertise was built through years of advanced training under the industry's foremost authorities, and proven across environments where downtime isn't an option.
That depth applies in the cloud too. If your SQL Server feels slow or your Azure SQL costs keep climbing, both usually trace back to the same engine-level fundamentals.
Enterprise Scale

Data Platforms
The modern data estate rarely runs on a single platform. We work across these technologies daily, at production scale, alongside our SQL Server core.
Snowflake
Hundreds of terabytes under management. We handle permissions, warehouse allocation and sizing, usage monitoring, clustering, queueing, and performance tuning. We manage data ingestion pipelines via HVR replication and support self-service data import for end users.
Azure Cosmos DB
Hands-on experience migrating from SQL Server to Cosmos DB at scale for major UK operations. Full implementation including backup and restore strategies, application code development, and production deployment. Not theoretical, but built and running.
PostgreSQL
A growing part of our platform expertise. Experienced with configuration, ANSI SQL development, and now deploying PostgreSQL in containerised environments on OpenShift. Strong SQL fundamentals translate directly, and the same rigour we bring to SQL Server applies here.
We also have production experience with Yugabyte on OpenShift, including environments with 200TB+ in a single table, handling backup, restore, and configuration management.
Tools & Automation
Managing data platforms at scale means automating everything that can be automated. We build the tooling that makes large estates manageable.
PowerShell
Extensive automation across the full database lifecycle: storage expansion, backup and restore orchestration, database migrations between instances, linked server management, replication setup, login management, and security scripting. If it can be automated, it should be.
C# & Blazor
We build internal tooling that solves real operational problems. Our DBA Portal, a production Blazor application, handles permission workflows, database management, linked server provisioning, and Snowflake governance with automated approval chains and backend PowerShell execution.
Python
Used for scripting, data work, and AI-assisted development. A practical tool in our kit rather than a headline skill, but one we use regularly and hold formal certification in.
