SQL Server Training
Hands-on SQL Server training from practitioners, not presenters. Available on enquiry for teams and individuals.
Training That Goes Beyond the Basics
Most SQL Server training teaches you what buttons to press. Ours teaches you what's happening underneath, so you can solve problems you've never seen before, not just the ones in the course material.
Our training is delivered by the same people who do our consultancy and support work. That means real-world examples, real production scenarios, and practical knowledge you can apply immediately.
We were trained by the people who wrote the SQL Server engine. That depth of understanding is what we pass on.
What We Can Cover
Training is tailored to your team's needs. Here are the areas we typically deliver training in, but we're happy to discuss anything SQL Server related.
SQL Server Internals
How the storage engine, query processor, and memory manager actually work. The foundation everything else builds on.
Performance Tuning
Wait statistics, execution plans, indexing strategy, and the systematic approach to finding and fixing performance problems.
T-SQL Development
Writing efficient, maintainable T-SQL. Set-based thinking, common anti-patterns, and how to write code the optimiser can work with.
Administration
Backup strategy, security, maintenance, monitoring, and the day-to-day work of keeping SQL Server healthy.
High Availability & DR
Always On availability groups, failover clustering, log shipping: designing and operating HA solutions that work in practice.
Bespoke Topics
Got a specific area your team needs to upskill in? We'll build a course around your actual environment and challenges.
Sample Courses

3 daysHow We Deliver
A Note on Certification
Microsoft has retired its SQL Server-specific certifications, replacing them with role-based qualifications. As a result, we focus our training on practical skills and deep understanding rather than exam preparation. The goal is to make your team genuinely better at working with SQL Server, not just certified on paper.
